Barrio Writers aims to empower teens through creative writing, higher education and cultural arts.

Students age 13-21: Join our weeklong college-level creative writing program hosted by Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Learn & practice different forms of writing (poetry, spoken word, hip-hop, short stories, essay), learn about pathways to college, and take field trips.

Daily schedule: 1:00-4:00pm Monday - Friday, plus a live community reading Friday beginning at 5:30 pm.

Barrio Writers will take place at the Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center (map). The Garcia Center is a part of the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
